70mm Steel Discs for Magnetic Starlink Brackets (Set of 4)

Easily create a secure mounting base for your Starlink magnetic bracket on non-magnetic surfaces with our 70mm Steel Discs. Purpose-built to complement Starlink magnetic mounts, these discs provide the steel anchor point you need where direct magnetic connection isn’t possible.

Each disc comes with genuine 3M VHB tape for adhesion. Simply prepare the surface, peel and stick. Once bonded, the discs act as a durable steel base for your Starlink bracket magnets to lock onto securely.

These discs are particularly useful for vehicles with a non-steel roof, such as 300 Series LandCruisers with an aluminium roof, Aluminium Canopies or trucks fitted with fibreglass cabs, where traditional magnetic mounting isn’t an option.

Standard Colours are Black or White.

Surface preparation – important

3M VHB tape is extremely strong, but only when it's applied to a properly prepared surface. Take a few minutes to get this right:

• Clean thoroughly – wipe the area with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) to remove all wax, polish, road film, grease and dust. Avoid household cleaners, which can leave a residue.
• Dry completely – the surface must be fully dry before applying the disc.
• Apply in mild conditions – ideally between 15°C and 35°C. Avoid applying in cold, damp conditions or in direct, hot sun.
• Press firmly – apply firm, even pressure to each disc for at least 30 seconds.
• Allow time to cure – the bond builds strength over time. Leave the discs for at least 24 hours (full strength is reached after about 72 hours) before fitting your mount or driving.
• Smooth surfaces only – the tape bonds best to smooth, solid surfaces such as painted metal, aluminium and fibreglass. Avoid textured plastics, vinyl wraps, flaking or freshly painted surfaces.

Please note: correct surface preparation is the installer's responsibility. Poor preparation can result in reduced adhesion, so if you're unsure about your surface, give us a call and we'll be happy to help.
